The week we had by the lake in Odilevas was absolutely idyllic. It was very hot, beautiful and peaceful. Paul did some fishing and actually caught fish!!!! And I lazed around reading and swimming. We then left for the hectic city of Lisbon, a huge culture shock as Jennie, Noel and Michael were flying out for a few days to join us. We booked into a site in Cascais which is about 45 minutes from Lisbon airport on the Estoril coast. The area has sand dunes, lovely golden beaches for surfers and also some quiet beaches with lots of bars and restaurants, so loads to do. We had a brilliant, hectic four days with them – sunbathing, swimming, eating out and just catching up on all the news from home, just fantastic. The days went by so fast, it was really unbelievable when we were already on our way to the airport for them to fly home. We are now on our way North through Portugal heading to the North West Biscay coast of Spain.

Hi Guys, you are both looking extremely well and tanned!!!! Can't believe that 3 months have gone past already. Missing you guys not being around. Azura is collecting all her postcards and loves receiving them. The places you have visited so far look stunning especially the food! Was that ice cream just for Paul or both of you! Once more thank you for the good news from Portugal. As we can see, you are making the most of your trip round Europe and we know you are right. We are just back from New-York where we spent a week(The Moma, The Met, The Frick Collection, Broadway and a musical...).
We hope you have spotted the "rara avis".
