One week gone 23 to go

Brittany, France

What a start. For the first week we have been staying with our French friends, and have been treated like Lords. Just a little supper in a restaurant in Brest – langoustines, oysters, clams, spider crab, winkles – lovely.

Weather has been cold, but lovely and sunny – and surprise, surprise, we have been doing plenty of bird watching, with lots of new birds under our wing (sorry couldn’t resist)

We are now slowly moving South, we are heading for Bordeaux on Friday for a few days, then will be taking a route over the Pyranees to Spain.

Was that plate just the starter ;) Glad to hear you're having a ball - I'm not in the least bit jealous!! Take care on the next leg - hope Spain's a bit warmer for you.

Just seen your pictures and diary. The whole trip sounds even more spectacular than imagined. We have been to Cornwall for Nick's wedding, hence the delay in leaving you a comment. We miss you, particularly when we are in Bude. You will laugh when we tell you we have been 'bussing' around Cornwall - like all the other 'oldies'!!!
Keep well and carry on having a great time
